The Art of Arranging

You can make any selection of items look good if they’re properly arranged. Knowing how and where to place your items on a tabletop or bookcase isn’t always easy and can add an element of style and composure to any space. It all comes down to balance, scale and composition and here at Risenn we have compiled some easy tips and techniques for arranging accessories for you:

Dining Table
When it comes to the dining table, the centre space is the ideal canvas for your centrepiece. For a dramatic effect, imperfect symmetry is the way to go with this one. Using a serving piece as a focal point and pairing it with candlesticks in the same colour palette is a perfect simple arrangement.  Harmonizing objects of different shapes and sizes with an asymmetrical arrangement and Layering items in front of each other creates depths in displays ensure that from angle there is a beautiful display. Risenn’s Lavina Cake Stand, available in 2 and 3 tiers is key to this look and your go to for entertaining and wowing your guests. For a simple look, team our Acacia Collection Vases with spiky flowers in a pale colour palette for an eclectic feel.

Bookshelf
Add some interest to your library with a range of objects to draw people in. Pairing books by compatible colours such as white and black and creating horizontal and vertical stacks creates more surfaces and adds visual interest and gives objects a lift. In adding your objects, make sure there is ample space around each giving the illusion that it belongs there and mixing and small and large pieces together to create balance. For decorative art pieces, our Horn Decorator On Stand is a bold piece that will add a statement to any room or opt for simple classic pieces such as our Nixon Clock and team it with the Carrington Photo Frame for a neutral colour scheme. Your bookshelf doesn’t have to be just a storage space for your books but can be transformed into a space of art and the focal point of a room.
