A touch of gold

Using gold in home interior goes back to ancient Egypt and symbolises extravagance and wealth. Gold is timeless, rich and adding touches of gold to your bedroom, living room, dining room or bathroom is an effortless way to add glamour to your space.  Gold is a warm and luxurious colour and whether your style is traditional, modern or vintage you can incorporate gold into any design style.
Gold can have a great impact on your interior and a great place to start is by adding small gold touches; such as a gold covered pillow on your sofa to mix things up or Risenn’s Lamar Gold Leaf Etagere can be a subtle way to incorporate a touch of gold into your style.
Gold can be difficult to work with, as you want to avoid the pretentious and overdone look, so it’s important to try different mixtures of colours and patterns and find the right balance with its shades. The gold scheme works very well with modern spaces, as it’s a comforting tone and can create a nice warm glow in the room.  With this colour scheme, the complement of gold is blue and purple and these bold colours work together to add interest and energy to a room. Risenn’s collection of Conrad Coffee Tables in green and navy will add a cozy, sophisticated conversation area that could work in a corner of any room.  Complete this look by adding shades and tints around the room such as soft blue and green cushions or gold-framed artwork can tie everything together.

A neutral colour palette also works well with gold for a more understated yet still glamorous look. Breaks of white and neutral colours with gold accent pieces can help add balance.
